Shopify Development

Shopify stores built for conversion and speed — custom themes in Liquid, an app stack that is not quietly costing you a second of load time each, and a storefront that looks like your brand rather than a theme you bought.

Speed is a merchandising decision

On a D2C store, load time is revenue. The usual culprits are a bought theme doing far more than your store needs, apps injecting scripts into every page, and hero images shipped at desktop resolution to phones. We audit the whole chain and generally find a large share of the payload is doing nothing for the customer.

Brand-first storefronts

A store should look like the brand, not like Shopify. We build custom themes from your identity — type, colour, spacing, motion — with sections your team can rearrange in the editor, so campaigns do not require a developer.

What the engagement includes

Products, variants, collections, metafields and navigation.

  • App stack review

Fewer apps, each justified by revenue rather than habit.

  • Checkout and payments

Multi-currency, local payment methods, tax and shipping.

  • Speed work

Image delivery, script deferral, theme weight.

  • Migration

From WooCommerce, Magento or another platform, with redirects.

Frequently asked questions

Shopify or WooCommerce?

Shopify when you want the platform to handle payments, security, PCI compliance and scaling, and you can live inside its model. WooCommerce when you need unusual product logic, complex B2B pricing or full control of hosting and data. For most D2C brands Shopify is the lower-friction answer.

Can you migrate our store without losing search rankings?

Yes, with a proper redirect map. We export the existing URL structure, map every product, collection and content URL to its new address, ship 301s on day one and monitor Search Console for a few weeks afterwards.

Do we need Shopify Plus?

Only at real scale, or when you need checkout customisation, B2B features or higher API limits. Plenty of successful stores never need it, and we will not push you up a tier you cannot use.

Can you make our current Shopify store faster?

Usually. We benchmark first, then work through theme weight, app scripts, image delivery and font loading, and report the measured before-and-after rather than a claim.
