The name

What does leeway actually mean?

True story — every client asks this on the first call. So we figured we’d put the answer somewhere permanent.

leeway/ˈliːweɪ/ noun

  1. The amount of freedom to move or act that is available.
  2. The margin between what was planned and what actually happens — and the room built in to close that gap without the whole thing breaking.

Every brand needs room — room to be tested, to be wrong for a season, to grow past the deck it was first pitched on. Most studios design for the launch. We design for what happens after it.

How that shows up

The way we work.

01

Judgement over process

One person makes the calls, start to finish. No handoff between the person you brief and the person who does the work — and no committee softening a decision on the way through.

02

Visible increments

You see the work weekly, not once at the end. Course-correction stays cheap the whole way through instead of arriving as a single expensive reveal.

03

Built to move

Systems that still hold up after a rebrand, a pivot, or a market you hadn’t planned for — not just the deck they shipped in.
